Is Six Months to Speech Legit? Honest Answers | Chelsea Juels

If you’re looking into Six Months to Speech because your child is struggling, it makes sense to want clear answers before you commit. I’m Chelsea Juels, and I want to explain what the program is, what it costs, and what I can and can’t promise.

Six Months to Speech is parent education and coaching, not medical care. Here are honest answers to the questions families often ask.

The short answer

Six Months to Speech is a legitimate six-month parent education and coaching program, run by CMJ Educational Services LLC and founded by Chelsea Juels, not a medical clinic or treatment. It offers weekly live group calls, a course library, and a private parent community, and does not diagnose, treat, or replace speech therapy, OT, or ABA. Families keep their medical providers and therapists, and results vary by child.

Is Six Months to Speech legit or a scam?

Six Months to Speech is a six-month group coaching and education program for parents of children with speech delays, autism, sensory issues, picky eating, or gut symptoms. It is run by CMJ Educational Services LLC. The program includes weekly live group calls that are recorded, a course library, and a private parent community with written Q&A support. It is not a clinic and it does not promise a particular result. You can read reviews on Trustpilot, an independent review site, and attend the free training before deciding whether it feels right for your family.

Who is Chelsea Juels, and what are her credentials?

I’m a mom of three in Southern California. I have an M.S. in School Psychology, and I’m a Certified Nutritional Therapist with an autism focus and a detox and gut health specialty. My twin boys were level 3 autistic and nonverbal; today they speak in full sentences. For our family, changing their gut health and food was the piece that helped other things start working. That is my family’s experience, not a guarantee or a medical conclusion for another child. I share more through @the_holistic_schoolpsych and co-host the Moms Ask Why podcast with Brittany Whitney.

What does it cost, and why?

The fee is $4,200 paid in full, or $797 per month for six months. Monthly payments are a commitment to the full program fee. The program includes group coaching, recorded calls, the course library with stage guides, recipes and downloadable guides, and the private parent community app with written Q&A support. Calls average 8–12 parents. There are no one-to-one sessions. I share the price openly because I want you to be able to consider the full commitment before applying. You can also hear more about the approach in the free live training before you make a decision.

What does “detox” mean here?

In this program, “detox” refers to gentle, ordered nutrition and lifestyle education intended to support the body’s normal processes. It is not a medical detox procedure, and we do not diagnose or treat a detoxification problem. The three stages begin with preparing the body by improving foods a child already accepts, then introduce gradual nutrition changes and supports, and later focus on gut nourishment and nutrient-rich foods. Families move at the child’s pace; accepted processed snacks can stay during the transition. Please discuss medical questions or supplements with your child’s doctor.

Do we have to stop speech therapy or ABA?

No. Six Months to Speech does not replace speech therapy, occupational therapy, or ABA, and we do not ask families to stop those services. Most families continue their therapies. Our work is parent education and coaching around food, gut health, routines, and related topics, alongside the care your child already receives. Your therapists know your child in a different way, and you can keep working with them. If you are considering any change to your child’s therapy plan, please talk with the professionals involved in their care.

Is Six Months to Speech medical treatment?

No. It is education and parent coaching, not medical treatment. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical conditions. Families should continue working with their pediatrician, GI doctor, and other clinicians, and should take medical questions and supplement decisions to them. A group coach or course cannot assess your child or replace an individual medical evaluation. I want to be clear about that boundary: the program is meant to help parents learn and make informed choices, not to take the place of your child’s healthcare team.

What results can we expect, and how fast?

Results vary, and I can’t tell you what will happen for your child or when. Some families notice changes in about two months, some over six months, and for others progress unfolds over a couple of years. Parents commonly report early shifts in sleep, bowel habits, mood or meltdowns, and willingness to try foods; speech and engagement may follow, but they are not guaranteed outcomes. One parent, Lauren M., shared: “When we first started this program end of May, my son had 12 words... over the last 3.5 months, he now has over 80 words, has been singing songs, he is pointing, and has said some 2-word phrases.” That is her family’s experience, not a promise.

What if it doesn’t work for us? Are refunds available?

All sales are final, as stated in the client agreement. I know that is a significant commitment, so I encourage you to attend the free live Zoom training, which is about an hour and includes live Q&A at the end. Cameras are optional. Bring your questions and take time to decide whether the program fits your family before applying. You can ask your questions live during the Q&A. For general support, contact [email protected].

I’ve seen criticism online. What’s your response?

I understand that parents want to look closely before trusting a program with their time, money, and hopes. Therapists and clinicians care about children and often view progress through an evidence-based clinical lens. I respect that. Six Months to Speech is not a clinic, and it is not a substitute for speech therapy, ABA, occupational therapy, or medical care. It is parent coaching and education focused on nutrition and gut health. You do not have to agree with every part of our approach. Please ask questions, discuss medical decisions with your child’s clinicians, and decide based on what feels appropriate for your family.
